About Lynn Van Ost

Lynn Van Ost, Med, RN, PT, ATC is at the helm of UOA’s physical therapy program. In addition to treating the general orthopaedic population as a physical therapist, she has worked with both amateur and professional athletes and has more than 11 years of experience as an athletic trainer working with Olympic-level athletes at numerous international events, including the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Van Ost graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from West Chester State College in PA. She was certified in athletic training by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) in 1984; graduated from Temple University in PA. in 1987 with a Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, and received a second Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Temple in 1988. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey and USOC Sports Medicine Society. She is the author of three physical therapy and athletic training books.
